The allegory is the metamorphic nature of memory. This represents, to some degree, the ongoing conversation I have with my memories, how I shape them, and how they shape me. Each iteration marks a change for both of us.
The recollector recalls the memory, affected by the state of the recollector.
The memory, then, affects the recollector.
Primed with this change, the conversation continues.
