Mariana Viegas works with photography and
video about the relation that man undergoes
with nature, namely through constructed
green areas in cities, such as gardens,
vegetable gardens and parks.
She addresses this relation through works
that reveal the fragility of the photographic
medium along with the video.
The concept of nature and natural landscape
that we are culturally adapted to through
different mediations ranging from film to art
history and ecology are in layered in Mariana's
research. |
