Michael Markowsky is a Canadian artist who makes artwork in a variety of media, including film, video, sculpture and sound.
However he is most well known for his 'Driving Drawings and Paintings', a series of artworks
inspired by his travels through the landscape. Many of these artworks were created while inside or ontop of moving cars, buses, bicycles, trains and airplanes.
Michael Markowsky has exhibited his work internationally, and was recognized by The Canada Council for the Arts for his artistic achievements.
Michael is also a highly successful art educator, and was recently honored with the Power of Art award by The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation. |
